I terminated it for the second time today and uninstalled it.
Each time, Google tries to backup everything on my machine. Second, I have specifically tried to limit the folders “Backup & Sync” has access to on my system. Two things: First, it is painfully slow as it tries to reconcile your computer files with the cloud version and vice versa. The folder looks like any other folder and sits on your desktop (or wherever you put it). Think of it as a Windows Explorer for your Google Drive on your Windows machine. No more crying over spilled milk or plug-ins, Google did away with the Microsoft Office plug-in (which also took some tweaking and was not perfect) and created a more seamless approach for those who are either work or school Gsuite account holders (as in, you are paying customer).
